credit and stuff...

my credit card mess is finally straightened out! it took forever waiting for the New York Times' credit to go through...and then there was a mess-up where they initially refunded part of it them i had to call back because the rest never went through and apparently the billing department was trying to refund the full amount but then saw part of it was refunded and instead of refunding the difference they just got confused that they couldn't refund the whole thing so the guy i talked to did the arithmetic for them etc...blah blah...then i had to wait for the other refund to show up...but when i called the bank yesterday it finally had and they finally cleared off all my late fee etc debts and are taking it off my credit report (which should take up to thirty days)...so finally! i'm glad i never saw my actual credit report to see what it'd been reduced to...anyway...

yesterday we helped Jacques and Amber move some...they're having a moving company move all the furniture and some stuff, but we did a little bit of some smaller stuff and helped box some...i also went through their big clearing out of cds and dvds and bought a few cds from 'em: John Coltrane: Newport '63, The Locust: Plague Soundscapes, Experimental Audio Research: Phenomena 256, David Byrne: Rei Momo, The Clash: Sandinista!, and Fugazi: Red Medicine...a couple dvds: Killer's Kiss and Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me...and i bought their old dvd towers off of 'em...oh and Jacques gave me a pile of awesome old ties...
