WASP

The Family Ghost practiced last night for OUR SHOW THIS SATURDAY AT NOCTURNAL (we play at 9 pm)...okay, that's enough of the self-promotion...it's not like anyone's still on lj anymore anyway...i tried to get the Wasp up and running but had only given myself like 20 minutes at the most and didn't have the time i needed...but after practice i cleaned it up a bit and then took the case off and was able to get to the keyboard sensitivity knob (which is kinda hard to turn normally) and that did it...it was played for the first time in like two years! it's so sad...i can't let my baby waste away like that! it's still a bit cobbled together...the reason it hadn't been played in so long is because the case (it's in a nice cheap plastic case) broke off in the battery housing so it can't hold batteries in (technically it still has an ac jack, but plugging the Wasp into a wall just doesn't seem right...) i just did a temporary rigging up job and cobbled the batteries together with duct tape...hopefully i can come up with a more permanent solution, but i'm just happy that it works...for now...i actually got a lot of sleep last night...i needed it...i'd been behind on sleep for the past week or so...and it's been forever since i've gotten an excess of sleep anyway...even on my days off i've been seeming to wake up (relatively) early...
