after months of being too annoyed to bother to suss out the wireless connection on the wii, i finally did yesterday...so i downloaded a couple of games for the first time in forever: Super Mario RPG and Mega Man 9 (of course i've barely played 1-8 which i have on that comp, not to mention the Mega Man X series comp...but who can resist a NEW OLD game!? not me, obviously...) Mary Beth and i met my dad downtown for dinner...i think he's lonely with my mom having been out of town for so long, heh...i had been somewhat intrigued by the flying fish cafe so we went there and it's pretty medicore...i had frog legs for the first time ever though...they really don't taste like chicken...i mean, remotely, maybe...they taste much closer to fish...somewhere between fish and chicken, but closer to fish...later in the evening Mary Beth and i drove around randomly...after a while, just to kill some time, we went to spin street which was a bad idea 'cuz they had too many deals! argh! i got a couple used cds: A Certain Ratio: I'd Like to See You Again and Bardo Pond: Dilate...then they had these shelves with a 3 for $20 deal that i couldn't pass up and i got: John Coltrane: Blue Tain, Ennio Morricone: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly soundtrack, and Kenny Dorham: Afro-Cuban...and then they also had on sale for pretty cheap that dual disc version Talking Heads: Remain in the Light...i'd avoided 'em 'cuz i don't like the idea of the dual disc (and constantly rebuying shit i already have for stupid reissues and their wonderful bonus tracks...) so yeah i finally couldn't pass it up and am excited about the bonus tracks...anyway, that brings me up to date...
