RIP Ron Asheton

it's a real bummer about Ron Asheton dying...while not young, he was definitely too young to die...and his guitar work! those first two Stooges albums were the first time i just flipped out over a wah pedal, when i first heard 'em over a decade ago...the way he played guitar and the wah, holy shit! and by extension, you could say it wsa my first love-affair with a filter...my ears owe a lot to that man...may he rest in peace...

i'm no longer on a warning at work...well, technically i am but i won't be when i come back...which leads to my next point, i'm on a weekend...two actual days off in a row...how's about that? and one of 'em's friday, that's kind've like a real weekend day...kind of...after work Mary Beth and i went and had mexican with Jacques and Amber...that's about it...
