stuff...

my cold seems to have improved from yesterday which is good, still very much a cold though...recently i realized that i hadn't finished one single story this year so i half-assed set to work on one i'd written one paragraph on two years ago at Mary Beth's parents' in New York...wrote a few pages one day on my vacation and finished the rest last night...so i have one single finished story this year...prolific...i'm sure i'll post it when i type it up...many many thanks to Shawna, she traded a day with me...i had asked for days off when Mary Beth's parents are coming to town, before this new schedule and before i knew i'd be shafted in terms of getting weekends off (as til then i'd always gotten 'em off...) but while having thursday, friday, and monday off i got scheduled saturday and sunday so that fucked me up...she was very gracious and swapped saturday with me...i owe her big-time! anyway, today i finished reading Sanctuary by William Faulkner...it's now my single-day weekend again! in the middle of the week, but i guess it's not so bad it happens to be new year's eve...anyhow...
