did something i well shouldn't've yesterday, which was buy some books...see, i was out shopping for a christmas present anyway (that didn't end up getting exchanged funny enough) and was at Burke's anyway and there were some used books and i bought some of 'em: Abba Abba by Anthony Burgess, The Rat by Günter Grass, Letters by John Barth, Akhenaten, Dweller in Truth by Naguib Mahfouz, The Man without Qualities Volume I and The Man without Qualities Volume II by Robert Musil, and In Praise of Shadows by Jun'ichirō Tanizaki...then later in the evening Mary Beth and i went with Jacques and Amber to Brad and Sherri's for a bit of a christmas shindig...Elizabeth was up for a little bit when we first got there, i hadn't seen her in what seems like forever...i got a sweet present from Brad: Fela Kuti: Alagbon Close / Why Black Man Dey Suffer...there was more good food...oh yeah and i started feeling better yesterday...it seems to be sticking, i hope my eating last night doesn't set me back but i seem okay so far!
