blah...

got woken up like 45 minutes early because of some grinding outside my bedroom window...insanely loud, and when i say "outside," i should say "on"...doing something to the windows...i don't know...on the way to work i realized i'd made my gauze bandage WAY too thick and keeping my foot shoved in my shoe just fucking hurt and i had to keep my shoe off all day, except half-wearing it as a flip-flop when i walked outside...i finsihed reading Teach Us to Outgrow Our Madness by Kenzaburō Ōe at work today...i guess i'll related an anecdote i forgot to mention yesterday about the surgery...most of the time i was looking away from my foot, and of course my toe was numbed...but at one point when he was rubbing the acid stuff that keeps it from regrowin i looked and he was sticking this long swab down into the corner where my missing toenail was down inside...kind of gross, kind of, i don't know...anyway...
