i finally got around to using this cracker barrel gift card my grandmother had passed on to me a few years ago, so Mary Beth got treated to some fancy eatin's yesterday! then we went to barnes & noble 'cuz i wanted to look for this magazine that they didn't have...instead i got too many books: The Third Policeman by Flann O'Brien, Disgrace by J. M. Coetzee, Cryptonomicon by Neal Stephenson, The Corrections by Jonathan Franzen, Moby-Dick by Herman Melville, Don Quixote by Miguel de Cervantes, and My Bondage and My Freedom by Frederick Douglass...the first was just a regular ol' book, the next three were from a newer books table of buy 2 get 1 free, and the next three were from the Barnes & Noble Classics buy 2 get 1 free dealie...so i naturally got suckered into this savings and spent a bunch of money...hooray...but hey, a deal's a deal and i got more books than i had before, so! for some reason i couldn't go to bed last night...i had a bunch of nervous energy or something and i just sat around doing nothing for hours...hasn't happened in a while...kinda dumb...oh well...
