The Family Ghost show #24? etc etc etc...
Jun. 2nd, 2006 07:41 pmon my way to work yesterday i picked up a package from the post office containing: Collected Stories of William Faulkner and The Complete Short Stories of Ernest Hemingway...lots of stories, yes...while at work i finished reading Answered Prayers by Truman Capote...also at work we've received seat assignments...i like where i'm sitting...i got my choice and stuff...nice, huh?
the show last night was pretty nice...a quiet little gathering at my house ...a few people showed up so there was no loss (and they were all fine folks, too! no scum or nothin'!) Tony (Real Live Tigers) played and his set was quite nice...then half of The Family Ghost (myself and Jacques) played...our set went like this:
The Yellow Light
Phantom Limb
Army of Skeletons
Doctorate
Calvary Cross
and even though he didn't play with us, Josh showed up to watch...i had fun...i hope everyone else...Tony's a swell guy to play/hang out with...and i picked up a couple of his cds too (Cover Your Tracks and Sadness Is a Gentleman as they are called...)
i woke up early this morning to take him to the bus station (he's touring by greyhound once again...) but waking up early was actually kind of a blessing...i'd been wanting to get fitted for custom musician earplugs for quite a while, and actively saing "oh i'll wake up early on such-and-such-day" but then deciding against it the night before usually with "oh i'm not going to bed early enough to wake up early to get this done before i go to work..." so finally i happened to be up and have time anyway...so i did it! i'm pretty excited about my forthcoming earplugs...hoorah! maybe i won't go deaf!
