a weekend...
Jul. 3rd, 2005 03:51 pmthursday, friday i sat around...uh...i don't think i did anything...can't remember too well though...i think later on friday i went over to Jacques/Amber's and sat around...yesterday Jacques and i went and did errands and crap...we went by the drum shop and i bought new sticks and the guy fixed my hi-hat stand as one of the feet came off...he said it's an old part they don't make anymore so if it totally broke i'd need to get a new stand...well, at least he fixed it and it didn't even cost nothin'...we distributed flyers at Goner and Lastchance...i binged a little at Lastchance:
Sun Ra: Nothing Is. . .
Tibetan Buddhist Rites from the Monasteries of Bhutan Volume 1
The Fall: Hex Enduction Hour (didn't even know this reissue was out...yet ANOTHER album i've gotta buy again for extra stuffs...)
then Jacques took his amp to get fixed and then to consignment where i bought some strings...boring stuff...we went to Shangri-La and Murphy's to distribute more flyers...at Shangri-La i got:
The Sound and the Fury by William Faulkner
at Murphy's some lady asked us about "that zydeco band" (as we're playing in two weeks with The Zydepunks)...she said she hoped they were real zyedeco...lucky for her they are...not lucky for me...but hey...should be a wacky show anyhow...then The Family Ghost practiced...we worked on "Moment of Panic"...then later i went over to Josh/Molly's...there was some grilling action...later we rented Memento...i'd never seen it...it was alright...then today The Family Ghost practiced again...this time we were able to go through the whole set...that's all...and now i'm just sitting here...i still need to do yardwork crap...ach...
