birthdays and barbarians

i actually got some sleep the night before last, after watching The Elephant Man...so yesterday was less terrible than the two before it...after work i went over to Jacques/Amber's...Amanda and Justin arrived shortly thereafter...for Amber's birthday dinner we ate way out in cordova in this place called Cafe Etc...it was alright...everyone else was super fond of it, but i guess i didn't get one of the better entrées...but for dessert i did have a fried twinkie and that was amazing...then we sat around...i finally saw the Ali G show and it was fucking great...Jason arrived whilest we was wtaching that...then we watched this Fulci barbarian movie (which made Justin leave...) it was pretty entertaining, but there was so much fog and it was so dark that often it literally hurt to look at the screen...it did have one genuinely good aspect (of course it had plenty of non-genuinely good things going on) which was the soundtrack, by Claudio Simonetti (synth player from Goblin...) i also got my shipment from Susan Lawly:
