rock: attempted

got some mail yesterday: a "Toilet Love" shirt from engrish.com and Liars: Fins to Make Us More Fish-Like...then The Family Ghost was supposed to have a practice/recording session but Brad didn't show up nor have any of us even heard a word from him...i wish i could say that was surprising...but the other three of us did a little bit of work...we were just gonna test with the recording stuff and stuff and we made up this little dirge-like, noisy, metal kind of thing...Jacques on drums, Josh on guitar, and me on guitar with spattered bits of random vocals...i also did this almost-one-note bass thing on the loop station pedal that i had going in reverse...it was pretty cool but we went throught it twice and for some reason the tape deck didn't fucking record both times...it was working 'cuz it recorded our little "test test is this thing working?" bits...that was pretty annoying for a couple reasons...oh well...it was fucking badass while it was going on, yeah...Amber had accompanied Jacques over because she's on a taking pictures kick and after the rock Jacques and she stayed over a bit playing video games...it was nerdtastic...then a little bit later i went over to their apartment...Amanda came over a little while later, Josh a little while more later, and Jason a little after that...we watched some stuff and it was fun...Jacques had ordered the new Dawn of the Dead 4-disc dvd set and when he got it they accidentally sent him two of 'em so he gave me the extra one! how awesome is that!? Jacques is tops in my book...i guess that's all i've got for now...yeah...

buy/sell/trade

i went by Lastchance and sold a few cds...including that Gershon Kingsley's First Moog Quartet i got just last week...i thought about hanging onto it for a little while...but i ran across some other things i wanted to sell anyway...so i thought why not...it was cheesy and i know i'd end up selling it eventually...i thought i might at least fool myself into thinking i didn't waste that money, oh well...i did pick up:
