some stuffs
Jan. 4th, 2003 04:32 amyesterday i swung by Radio Shack and picked up a few guitar cords and a 9V battery for one of my Boss pedals...then i went out to Jacques'...after a little while Paul showed up and we went to the space...Brad showed up shortly thereafter and we had the second Family Ghost practice for the week! woohoo! afterwards, i dropped Jacques and Paul back off at Jacques' and met David at his apartment...we ate and then picked Brad up on the way to the Deli...
Unsane was quite the ballstomptacle...the two opening bands were crap...but Unsane rocked my ballz straight into the ground...i can't even remember the last show i saw in town...it's been months since i've been to a show and even THAT was in some other city...(my past several shows are from other cities...) it's pretty pathetic how few bands come here...i got a shirt and there is now an Unsane sticker adorning my car...
we dropped Brad off and went out to Justin's...the three of us went to the M(p)ancake shop and then back to David's where PS2 was played 'til about 6:30am...
i closed at work tonight...it wasn't super busy but pretty steady and i think it may have been the best i've ever done: i made $167...fuckin' sweet...
something i forgot to mention earlier about wednesday at work: i saw one of the coolest things ever while driving down Poplar...my attention was first attracted by the lights of the cop car...then i noticed this other car sticking up from the ground at about a 45° angle...it had been driven up onto the steel cable that secures one of the light/telephone poles...it was a bit smashed up too...that's all...
