a most excellent adventure

after work on friday i went over to Jacques'...it ended up being myself, Jacques, Paul, Justin, and Kerry were those present...we watched Jacques' "shocking" new Guinea Pig dvd...never before was i aware of the horrorific torture to be had from chair spinning...we started to watch this MSTK3 episode after that, but we ended up just talking though it instead...we didn't make it to the end before Justin determined we needed to watch the "Touched by the Hand of God" video instead...he was right...after a while the group split up and i took Paul home...we ended up staying up talking for a few hours...nice heart-to-heart male bonding that seems to be happening kind've frequently as of late...when i started to go home, he suggested we go to Auto Zone then, as i had been talking about needing to fix my tail light...so we went...we spent some time there and got the nerdy employee to pull the old broken bulb out from my blinker w/ pliers...all the important lights were replaced...(though the blinker is just messed up now...it still doesn't work w/ a new, working bulb in it...) also, i managed to get THE coolest sticker ever...it was an idea that i had a LONG time ago...(at least a year...though now Jacques claims that he was the one that came up w/ it...though i recall coming up w/ it...whatever, he's a pussy anyway...) i bought one of those big, bright, red, badass REDNECK stickers and cut it up so that it now says NERD in big, bright, red, badass letters on the back of my car...it's the coolest sticker ever...and the coolest thing i've ever done in my life...after Auto Zone, we went to see if that Pat's Pizza that Paul keeps talking about was open so we drove to its scary neck of the woods but they now just have hours during dinner time...so we went to the Mancake Shop instead...oh yea, by the time we left Auto Zone, daylight was well under way once again...i didn't get to bed 'til 10am...got 4 hrs of sleep before i had to be at work at 3pm...but it was good times, yo...i'll continue w/ another post now...

putting the "bowel" back in "bowl"

in a wacky twist of irony (maybe), i only didn't completely oversleep and risk getting fired because of Justin H.'s typical annoying phone call some time in the middle of my sleeping...i looked at my clock after i was like "uhhh...i'm asleep..." and saw that it was right at the time i should be leaving for work...doh! so i hopped in the shower and quickly washed my hair, skipping all other morning routines such as eating, brushing teeth, and shaving...so the rest of the day i was all ruff and rugged...(or like a 12 yr old boy trying to grow a beard...) i was pretty fucking dead at work...but after that i met Jacques, Brad, Kerry, and her friend Adam, who the rest of thepeergroup hadn't met before...he was really cool...(not that Kerry would hang out w/ anyone who isn't.........hahahahahahaha!) then we went to Jacques'...Brad picked Paul up, Justin H. showed up...we had Justin W. meet us up at "Hardwick's Billy All Star Lanes" for some rock and roll bowling action...easily the best bowling night ever...we put more effort into changing our names on the overhead computer screen than w/ the actual bowling...Kerry had the foresight to document all of this...she also had the badittude to post it...it speaks for itself...all i'll say on the subject is that "BARBED TACO" is the funniest thing ever...Kerry roxxx...the only hitch was our lane fucking up and our having to sit around forever waiting for it to get fixed...instead we were moved to another lane...(they shouldn't've charged us for the 3rd game after that...cocksuckers...) after that we went to the Pancake Shop for my second time w/in 24 hrs...then we kind've parted...it was all lots of fun...i was even so "sleep-depraved" that i kissed Brad...mantastic! at the tail end...Paul, Justin, and i were the last left at Jacques' and we saw some of American History X on the teevee...and it looked really good...i'll haveta watch it sometime...

i forgot to mention this earlier...thursday night i went to the 40 Watt Club's webpage to see about getting the SY tickets and found that the show is fucking SOLD OUT already! in a plea of desperation i wrote an email to the club asking if they had any info on finding tickets now as well as explaining my situation...the next morning i got the email back and they said they keep a few tickets in case of emergecy and that if i mailed them $15 they'll put me on the prepaid guest list...FUCKING SWEET! one of the coolest things ever...also, when i got back from Pauls friday morning (after the Auto Zone adventure) i purchased my ticket for the Raleigh show...it was kind've odd 'cuz the site prints the tickets on your computer at home...well, i have it now...and all of my tickets are secured...(well, not quite counting Athens...but i'll be sending the $15 tomorrow...) this is all...well, up to today, which is the next post, yo...

and now: today

didn't quite catch up on sleep, but it was about just enough as needed...it was pouring down rain for a bit today...i guess that was kind've good in that a group of birds decided it'd be a good idea to recreate Jackson Pollock's White Light on my car sometime this morning/afternoon...bad in that we still haven't moved the equipment to the new storage unit...on my first run i ended up going to the Clear Channel building (which shares the parking lot w/ our storage place...) so i made a quick stop by the space and unplugged everything and quickly got what seemed like it might be in mild danger off the floor...it was the worst i've seen it yet...flood-wise...after work, not having anything else to do, i went to Turtle's even though i'm not wanting to spend money right now...i bought The Folk Implosion: One Part Lullaby, though i suspect that it won't be a keeper...(even having Lou Barlow it still somehow manages to be not very good...but maybe the second half's good...though i'm sure it'll sound like the first 5 songs so far sound...) after that i went over to Justin H.'s...now i'm home...tomorrow will mark my first real night of closing at work...hopefully i'll make some money...but 'til next time, rock on y'all...
