genius at work...

getting in my car, on my way to work, my cd player to tape deck adapter contraption's been a little messed up the past few days (the same thing that happens to all of them, after a sum of months)...it'd keep having the channels cut out until you moved the jack around and the whole signal would get picked up...but today it got to the point where the moving it around didn't work...i was a bit tired and already in a foul mood so the anger of the possibility of not having cds on such a potentially big night for driving around a lot, i threw the cd player on the floor...out pops my new Trans Am cd w/ a new crack...before work i stopped by Cat's to get a new tape deck thingie...(i had actually planned on stopping by there to bother Kerry anyway, though i was running behind so i just opted for buying the thingie...) as the bulk of downtown was blocked off again, we weren't taking any downtown orders so it wasn't nearly as insane as it would've been...i got let off a little after 7 even...though i did come in at the early hour of 3...tonight i went back to Turtle's w/ the broken Trans Am cd pretending it was like that when i bought it...the took it so i went looking for another used cd...i got Smog: Rain on Lens...i was also wound up about having the aforementioned cd so i went and bought a new copy to fill the void in my heart...normally i'm pretty moral about my dealing w/ cds and whatnot...i never would have done that to Lastchance, but this is Turtle's...fuck the corporations! oi! and it's not like my evil deed didn't lead to rip me off in return w/ an overpriced, shiny, new cd...one neat-o thing: when they gave me the refund for the cd, they took off the full $9.99 and not the 30% discounted price i actually paid for...sweet...(just don't tell anyone about this, Matt...) ummm...

i guess he really enjoyed Battlefield Earth too!
