anothing boring catching up post

thursday night Keith came over and we began moving equipment into the practice space...we got most of it there and started setting up...we ended up making noise 'til the wee hours of the morning...so i didn't get much sleep but managed to make it to class friday...napped for like 45 min before i had to go to work and door hang...did that...went home and napped a few more hours before i went out to the practice space and watched Bored to Tears practice...Shade had way too many fucking ppl show up...and they were all drinking and lots of beer ended up getting spilled about the place...when i arrived Chris had a drink on top of my Pearl Syncussion's bag (w/ the synth in it) and there was a beer on top of the box w/ my Moogerfooger in it...needless to say i was pretty upset about that...a few of them were even smoking pot...which pissed me off a bit, especially considering how it's MY name on the fucking lease...(and the ones doing it, except for Chris, aren't even in any fucking bands that practice there...) then The Family Ghost practiced...more on that in a subsequent post...

yea, The Family Ghost practiced late friday when Jacques got off work...Keith had brought Pixie along...not the best time considering how bad we sounded...this is mostly not our fault...the main problem was the fact that none of the electrical equipment is grounded...so we were getting really bad buzz and everything sounded bad...Shade's bass amp was being the worst...and my baby Marshall was making chords sound out of tune when they weren't...hopefully so of this will be recitified when my new amp arrives (hopefully tomorrow...) we ran through several songs...mostly only being able to hear the drums clearly...hopefully practice will happen again soon and be better when i get the new amp (and eventually get my bass amp fixed...) and ground the fucking socket...

continuing along...

backtracking to the Bored to Tears practice before The Family Ghost's...there was this hc/metal band practicing 8 units over...and at some point during the practice one of 'em moved his car in front of our space and was just sitting there running the engine real loud-like...we opened the door and they were like "we're trying to save gas...gotta drive real slow..." etc...a little while later they peeled out...they brought it back around and did the same at least one more time...at one point i went out to my car to bring some more stuff in and he was out there "saving gas takes a long time..." "okay" and went to my car...he peeled out as soon as i turned around...although Keith said the next day the band he's just a drummer in (Nemesis, Chris/Jason/Shawn's band...) was practicing and the singer guy (the bastard guy in the car) came over to listen to them and was talking to 'em and being all cool...although they're pretty metal so...yea...and they're all 16/17...

but back to where i was: i worked saturday...Brad filled out an application to work at Camy's...that'd be cool if he gets the job...we could come up w/ brack jokes at work...awww...i brought a soldering iron from home and went w/ Keith to get some wire to ground the socket...but i got to the space and realized i didn't have anything to cut the wire w/...bah...but i spent a good while playing on my drums...mmm...i went and hung out w/ Brad and Keith and the other ppl that hang out...slowly everyone went home...Brad, Keith, and i ended up staying up talking 'til like almost 6 in the fucking morning...i guess that's all i have to say for now...

cd news

i've begun re-organizing my cds...my previous method of organization has become far too complicated for me to keep up w/ as my collection has grown over the years, so i'm finally changing to the standard alphabetical order...while more typical, i'll be able to find stuff i'm looking for w/ no trouble...that's always a plus...i was gonna wait 'til i got another cd shelf, but i dunno when i'll get around to it, so i thought i'd at least get started tonight...i have my current shelf thing filled w/ cds in their new order now...more than half my cds...up to PiL...i also have two towers worth of cds and a good number that won't fit in anything anymore...but i'm sick of the whole tower thing anyway...shelves are far nicer for keeping cds, less tedious when you get new cds and have to add them into the collection...hopefully i'll get around to getting another shelf thing soon...i need more money...
