Rocked to Tears

didn't work much yesterday, but it was "interesting"...gotta watch a big getting-fired argument w/ some guy that had been there three days and Camy...she was saying he was too argumentative...he kept arguing w/ her...after work i went over to la casa del Brad...they (Brad, Keith, and Shade) were packing their gear up to head over to Millington (a suburb that's almost not even a suburb, as it's way the fuck far away...) to practice...they asked me if i wanted to accompany them...i said "yes"...so we rode our rides out there...and i saw a bona-fide Bored to Tears rehearsal...it was quite quite the rock'n'roll experience...i played on Brad's drums a bit durring a break...that was fun...then when they were done i picked up Shade's bass and Brad was rocking on the drums and something came out that fucking rules...i think it's the beginnings of a Family Ghost song...after that Keith got on the drums and another rad thing w/ me on bass popped out...i think that might be another FG song...rock action...also, at one point i had to go to the bathroom and there was a bee in there...that sucked...(oh yea...they were practicing at Keith's dad's real estate business place...) and while i was in the bathroom i made this turd happen that was shaped like a U...i don't know how that happened...but like i guess it was pretty cool...i think it's like a Guiness World Record or something...i'll haveta call Bob Saget...after it was i arrived back at The Apartment w/ Shade just in time to call work to see if i'd have to come back in...i was put on call...Brad came back and i sat around w/ him listening to cds and playing NES games...a nerdcore time was had by all...or something...i ended up losing track of time (i meant to leave 1ish if my work didn't call, of course they didn't...) but i didn't end up leaving 'til almost 3...oh well...i did manage to make it to class this morning...oh, and i think a Family Ghost practice is in the works for tomorrow...w/ the whole gang (Jacques, Brad, Keith, y yo)...and possibly saturday...it won't be a long practice tomorrow 'cuz it'll be between my school and my work (2-4ish)...but it'll be good to get some rock under our belts...especially getting in that first practice w/ Keith...hopefully saturday will work out too...it's Brad's mom's birthday...but we might be able to fit in rock before/after he does mom's birthday stuff...

not much, really...

it turns out that i ain't workin' tomorrow...i just assumed i was...so more rock can happen...woohoo! though i'm not going to be able to go to the Bad Brains show...bunches of ppl have been fired this week (including Chris, i forgot to mention that yesterday...he had been showing up too late too much...that and most ppl there didn't like him...poor Chris...) and all the currently employed drivers have been scheduled for the 12-2 that night too...oh well...i wanted to go at the very least to make use of the last chance i'd be able to go to The Last Place on Earth (as it's the last show there ever...unfortunately...)

interesting (relatively speaking, of course) story about today: i made this delivery to this house and stuff and there was this confusion over the coupons and how much the order was...so they called the store a few times...but the first time they called i looked in the house and saw a shelf of pedals and a Danelectro..."is that an Electro-Harmonix pedal on the top shelf?" "yea...you like EH? here, come in"...so he was showing me his pedals while the woman was calling...we talked about Electro-Harmonix...i told him about my Frequency Analyzer...he showed me this pedal that was a wah and ring mod in one...he also showed me this guitar that was a Silvertone copy kind've thing...it looked almost just like a Silvertone...even had the signature headstock...the case had a built-in amp and everything...it was pretty neat...i forgot the company that made it though...we also talked about how it sucks that The Last Place on Earth is going to stop happening...and various places to play and such...they kept getting the order stuff confused but it was okay 'cuz i gotta do some guitar g33k talkin'...

after work i swung by The Apartment, informed Jacques of practice tomorrow, and picked up my Moog, my glockenspiel, and the mic stand...which reminds me, as i forgot to get 'em out of my car when i got in...i also swung by Wherehouse where i picked up: Modest Mouse: Sad Sappy Sucker and Tom Waits: Small Change...
