what's really funny: Suicidal Tendencies...and the fact that the singer calls himself Cyco Miko...and the fact that he sings about being "cyco" a lot (i.e. "Cyco Vision")

a week ago i was chillin' wif Jacques and we were up too late and very delerious...he was playing Tony Hawk Pro Skater on the PS..."Cyco Vision" is on the soundtrack so the night was devoted to much inane laughing about all that...i eventually grabbed a plastic bag and stuck in on my head in a gesture of having a bandanna...and i rolled my sleeves up for the sleeveless shirt effect...(as w/ the whole Suicidal Tendencies bandanna and sleeveless shirt phenomenon...) it was fucking hilarious, i swear...

the same sort've thing went on to a lesser extent last night...w/ Paul and Chris present...

yesterday i also got some shirts at J. C. Penny's (as i was told of their existence by Jacques): an Asteroids shirt...w/ what i think is the art from the original game and all...and it has the Atari logo on the back...an Atari shirt...dark blue w/ a white logo...and a Transformers shirt...black w/ a Decepticon logo...and yes, i am aware that those shirts are a bit trendy and raverish and sold at Gadzooks and shit like that...but i don't care...i fucking love the Atari and like Transformers and stuff too...and the trends will die...and i'll still have the shirts to exhibit my nerdcoredom...so fuck you! you can suck my cock you stupid motherfucker! if you say anything else about me i'll fucking kill you! that's what i have to say about that!

i'll say more later, but for now:
You tell me what I want to hear
I hear it all with my ears
...
I've got cyco vision
I love cyco vision
I say cyco vision

i think i did alright on my calculus final yesterday...not great...but i THINK i got right about the minimun of what i needed to keep my b...the physics final had 2 parts: one was like a regular exam over the last 2 chapters...the other was the comprehensive part...there were 15 questions and we had to pick 10 of them to do...it was multiple choice...so no partial credit...(the teacher wasn't fond of that either...but it's some "gen ed" university policy for finals or something he said...) i watched him grade the comprehensive part so i know what i got: 70...(7 questions out of the 10 right...) he said that was a lot higher than the class average...i calculated what i need to get on the other part of the final to get a b: 102...grrr...but i THINK i did pretty well on the other part of the final...but i'm not completely sure...so i might've gotten close and maybe it'll be close enough to be rounded up...pleasepleaseplease...

monday i took the last calc exam (not counting the final)...i fucking bombed it...got it back wednesday and i got a 32...but he said most of the class did pretty poorly on it...and he's dropping the lowest test grade...so it didn't fuck my previous average any...

concerning thursday:
'twas study day so no class, but there were to be study sessions for my calc and physics classes...i was going to go to both, but i went to sleep kind've late that night and was really tired so when it came time to wake up for the calc session (held at 8 am as the class normally was...) i was just too dead so i decided i'd skip it and just go to physics...so i went to physics...then i went and retrieved Jacques so that rock might occur...we grabbed what of my stuff would fit in my car (bass amp, mixing board and such) and went to me house...nice because everyone was out of town at that moment...

funny side note: get home and there's vomit in the middle of the living room floor...and what looked like a nice arrangement of plantish thingies atop it...so, i'm guessing, one of the dogs ate some potpourri and then vomited it back up...i think it was potpourri anyways...that's what it most looked like...i think it's amusing anyway...so long as the dogs are okay, which they are...

then some time was spent listening to some cds, i had to catch Jacques up on cool stuff i had gotten (muchly from the NYC batch...) then we started to rock...i had my bass and Jacques had his guitar and we were just kind've standing there and i just started playing something, making it up at that very moment...then Jacques started playing along...and the result is the beginnings of a song that's quite ruling...it's pretty indie/rockin'/noisy...then we were gonna record it on the tape recorder...having some problems 'cuz it doesn't have a battery cover and the batteries get loose really easily so it'll stop at random...unless you get it situated well...while we were trying to get it set up, Jacques started playing the guitar part for "Boys Don't Cry" so i immediately figured the bass part out and we recorded this "cover" (i guess mostly to see if it would keep recording for a good amount of time...and it was pretty funny...) and we were belting out the bad overexaggerated Robert Smith whine...i fell on the floor laughing in the middle of it...then we looked and it had recorded the whole thing...so we went to do the thing we had just started writing...we ended it w/ some nice feedback drone/harshness...Jacques was doing some nice squealy ear hurting noise and i was doing some droney wahwah pulsing bass feedback...it was pretty rad...we'll prob'ly end the song that way...and it didn't mess up recording it at all which was nice...

oh yes...on the way to my house, Jacques wanted to stop by the Cats after i told him i had gotten some stuff there...so we went and i got:
Tangerine Dream: Zeit
Teleconned Vol. 1 We Want the Airwaves
i know what you're thinking...i'd be thinking the same had i not heard early Tangerine Dream...but their early stuff is quite good...very droney...this album has for tracks, each just under 20 min...good drone...and the comp has Low doing a Soul Coughing cover ("Blue Eyed Devil") which was my motivation for getting it...i didn't see it when i was there the day before...i had seen the Tangerine Dream but couldn't remember when the album David has was from...i knew it was either late 60s or early 70s but couldn't quite remember...Zeit is from 72...but i wasn't too sure if it might be too late...but thursday i went for it anyways...it turns out it's even earlier...his is from 74...it's been a while since i heard it, but i think that one might be a little better...but what i've listened to of Zeit so far (to some point in the third track) it's really good as well...

and speaking of cds...today i was at Circuit City 'cuz i was just desperate searching for places that might sell magnets...and i browsed through their cd section finally finding:
Lou Reed: Transformer
for it's propper really cheap price...($6) i think i've seen it used for more than it's normal list price...and it's an album i need...mostly for select songs, as some of the songs aren't that great...but on a whole, quite worth it...i think i'm done here...

(some lyrics i wrote a couple days ago...the song idea i have for this is very short, and no wave...w/ two parts...but that's just incidental for now...or something...)

Tell me what I want to hear
so it won't hurt when I ignore you
Everything you say is a stupid lie
and I'd disregard your words anyway
Words--are--use--less
you--are--use--less

Your consolation enrages me
it's empty, meaningless filler
Just--like--you
