In the afternoon, Mary Beth and I went over to Elmwood for this talk about the meanings and symbolism of flowers in Victorian times. Mostly I learned that the meanings were usually different depending on who you asked. And we also got someone making a floral arrangement. They made one using the "sad" meanings explaining different flowers they were using and stuff. Then for time's sake they explained and went over a pre-made one with "happy" meanings. The funny thing is that the "sad" one looked more cheerful than the "happy" one. After it was over we took a little walk around the cemetery. Later at night we had reservations at Catherine and Mary's and given that it was a Sunday, the streets were not crowded and we had no trouble getting in. Then we ate a nice dinner! It was a good time.
