I got a good chunk of my birthday books in the mail: The Tower of Glass by Ivan Ângelo, The Making of Americans by Gertrude Stein, A Woman's Story by Annie Ernaux, and The Pisces by Melissa Broder. In the afternoon I went over to my dad's as he was having a big family reunion kind of thing at the house with a bunch of the relatives in Minnesota visiting and some food and a swimming party. I didn't swim, I just sat around awkwardly as usual. I didn't really even spend time outside as it's been hot. But I saw some relatives I hadn't seen in a long time and some I'd seen more recently but still not super often. It was also Anthony's birthday so we got to do that stuff before everyone arrived. That's about it for the day.
