ateolfI got a cd in the mail: v/a: Computer Music Currents 3. I finally figured out something that had been bugging me trying to extract and edit the sound for the movie (the live score, The Terminator). The audio would never sync up with the video and I thought it was something in how the sound files were extracted. I finally figured out that the movie has just a little bit of extra silence at both the beginning and the end. So trying to line it up on either side keeps it off, but when I searched for a percussive spot in the movie and lined the sound up with it, then I was finally able to get it in sync! So now I'm back to working on the sound edits in earnest! Later at night Mary Beth finished reading to me The Lonely Passion of Judith Hearne by Brian Moore and it was very good.
