Back and Forth and Back

I tried to do something with my dad for Father's Day but he wasn't feeling up to holiday crowds I guess and postponed it until later this week. I went back up to Purg Fest at the Lamplighter in the evening. I got to catch Nonconnah's set. I also got a little bit of W1ND0W's merch: a t-shirt and a cd: W1ND0W: M1XT4P3 23-24. Then I had to run and pick Mary Beth up as we went up to Crosstown to see Marisa Anderson. Her set was really good. I mean, if you're familiar with her music then you know what to expect (that sounds like maybe I didn't mean that in a good way, but I do!). I picked up a couple of cds from her merch: Marisa Anderson: Into the Light and Marisa Anderson: Cloud Corner. Then we had enough time to make it back to the Lamplighter for the end of Purg Fest. We were in time to see Nubia Yasin and she had a guitarist playing with her who I know from seeing before, but I don't remember her name (and that guitarist is really good). Then General Labor closed. They are a two piece now. It's weird not seeing Carlos, but the drums come through more now I guess. They were really good. It was a real good set.
