The replacement power supply for my audio interface came yesterday (that was fast!) and...it fixed it! So before, I had left it powered on all the time, because if I'd power it off then it would completely lose the ability to work with my laptop unless I shut it down and rebooted. I could tell it'd all get a little hot so I probably shouldn't have been doing that! And now, no matter what I'll just suck it up and deal with it because I don't want to risk damaging the actual box too! At least the power supply was a quick and easy fix, but I don't want to keep pushing it! Okay. So after work last night I went to a show at the Lamplighter. Pas Moi was first and their set was good as always. Then it was Yessie Yavis, which wasn't generally my thing, some of the songs were alright indie pop. He played guitar and sang to a backing track. The last band was on tour from NYC. They were Pons. I didn't know anything about them going into this. William already knew them and liked them. Well, they played and they were fucking incredible! Very no wave. It was just a guitarist (also vocals) and two drummers! They reminded me a good bit of DNA and US Maple, though with more of the "turned-up-to-eleven" loud and noisy raucousness. Great show! I bought two of their shirts. Felt a little bad because almost no one was there, but they delivered and gave their all for the few of us who were there!
