Mary Beth and I went on The Fresh Market grocery run during my lunch break yesterday. At night we watched To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar (as a small retaliation against the current, stupid, awful climate). That's about it.

i don't delude myself into thinking it's any retaliation per se (though i also do not discount that "yin"ness i keep alluding to, and this response is very much that and no more invalidating that)--just, it personally helps to be reminded that the creeping feeling that what is loudest and most violent right now is inevitable and for always is in fact a manipulative distortion, obviously so. wise and talented people have known better, otherwise, before, and do now, and will again.

Yeah, I know that was a bit of an exaggeration. And more of a metaphorical "retaliation" than any sort of actual retaliation towards any actual thing or one.
