Last night I went and had practice with this new band Patrick is putting together. I brought my Minimoog Voyager and a few cv expanders. Trying something "new," I guess. It's been a while since I've really played it. It's weird going from all-modular to a (limited) semi-modular. My options do feel a bit limited. The sound of the Moog is so great, but its routing isn't the most flexible. We kinda started coming up with a song and then some of another one. I like Patrick's playing and the drumming. The guy on the electronic wind instrument thing sometimes has cool sounds (and sometimes not). Don't think I'm really into the bass player's playing. But we'll see how it all goes. The worst thing is after standing for over two hours, my right foot seems to have gotten fucked up. Right towards the end of practice it started to hurt. And it still hurts pretty bad and it's hard to walk. It's like I blew out the arch or something. Or like shredded up all the tendons or something. Here's hoping the fucking thing heals up.

I get them every morning for the first 10 minutes of standing. If I don’t do stretches (runners stretch, particularly) it will go on for hours.

Orthotics coupled with stretches help amazingly well when I’m standing and walking.
