Yesterday I went to my Uncle Tom's funeral. He had died a while back, at the end of 2020 during a bad covid wave so it had been postponed. Of course, I saw some family there. In the afternoon Mary Beth and I took a neighborhood walk. At night we went and picked up some Gus's. It being the holiday weekend, I should have checked on what was going on downtown or for downtown traffic patterns first as we ended up going right past the Redbirds stadium where there was apparently a game and it seemed like something else was going on in other parts of downtown like some kind of festival. I turned away to take another route but then ended up hitting blocked-off streets and had to get routed back to about where I had been anyway. Lots of standstill traffic, but we did finally make it and get our chicken and got out of there the opposite end of downtown. We ate our chicken watching some Kids in the Hall. That's about it for now.
