I finished reading Piranesi by Susanna Clarke yesterday. It was really good. I know I'd initially had my doubts, but they weren't really based on much. It had a great sort of mysterious atmosphere at the beginning and I did worry that as it went along and more information was filled in/discovered, that it would start to lose that atmosphere. And it almost did, with a little bit of action thrown in the mix, but I liked the way it resolved, different but still ambiguous. I got a could cds delivered yesterday: Maryanne Amacher: Sound Characters (Making the Third Ear) and Nico: Drama of Exile. So, my replacement copy for the Maryanne Amacher arrived! I gave a quick listen last night to the tracks that were troublesome on my previous copy and found no issues, so I'm hoping now it can finally remain in my hands! And last night Mary Beth and I watched Foxfire (I almost called it Firefox!). Okay, now it's Saturday time.
