I was doing the work a little later yesterday as I was waiting for Naveen to be available to pass off some stuff to him before I went off on vacation for some time. Then I went out and met up with Mary Beth who was already out walking around the neighborhood. I was having some duolingo frustrations and finally tried it out on the website instead of the app, and I may end up doing more on there! No damn hearts! Also using the keyboard instead of typing on the phone will be much easier I think. And if I start using my work computer, the mac keyboard will be easy for accents and such. I'll probably still use the phone this week at least to get those bonus points that are available there and not on the website (which, it's a bit of a frustrating system in the way it kind of prohibits my using it in smaller chunks of time, but I wanna get back out of this damn lower league, so...). I'd kinda associated it as a phone thing and I like being able to do it in other rooms, but these hearts are just making me mad and detracting more and more from the experience. Also, the extra lesson for every unit and the having to do reviews to make up hearts is really slowing down my overall progress. Anyway, enough duo blather. Later at night Mary Beth and I watched a little more Treehouse of Horror. Now today I am off! And I'm off through the end of next week! Time to relax, but it's hard to disentangle my brain right now...but must do it!
