Work Not Work

Yesterday was a crazy-ass damn work day. So we have the next release, which is a migration, this weekend. Yesterday was the day scheduled for a "dry run." Now that term is loose because it's actually the very first time the migration has been tested at all since a bunch of changes were made. So there were lots of issues and lots of things to be fixed all around and, surprise, this thing that's being rushed didn't go so well and took longer than expected! I mean, I guess that's the whole nature of things around now, but I ended up working pretty late. Was supposed to have a Memphis Concrète meeting but couldn't but it didn't matter anyway, because Jenny also had something come up and had to postpone too, so good timing? During the day, I had a doctor's appointment. Just a check up. They took some blood for tests and such. I got a referral for a urologist that I'll need to schedule. That didn't take too long, then I was back just in time for all the falling apart and fixing of things. Spent the remainder of the evening watching a bunch of Parks and Recreation. And now at least it's almost the weekend.
