Fly

Mary Beth and I took a walk after work. Then we ate dinner outside. After we were done, we watched a fly that had landed on an extra-large crumb of banana bread. We were just watching it chow away at the thing. It's kind of interesting how it doesn't look like it's doing much of anything, but over time, imperceptible in the moment, the crumb is getting smaller and smaller. At one point after it had been a while, Mary Beth made an offhand comment about now being afraid she's going to see it poop. Well, not too long after that I see (though she missed it) a small, black drop drip off its back end. So yeah, I saw a fly take a shit! The miracles of nature! We watched a little Parks and Recreation at night. At a point, this production issue jumped up in the talk on my phone. Between us and another system (the error handling functionality) got stuck in an infinite loop and was sending emails each time. This loop was actually something I'd fixed in the lower environments last week, but never saw til after the prod deployment so assumed the issue hadn't made it to prod yet, as some other changes had just been made. But somehow it was out there and just never got triggered for over a week. Anyway, that's about it. Back to it.
