I Didn't Do It

Mary Beth and I did our clicklist run yesterday evening and it went quick and smoothly. It was a little dreary out, but the excursion went fine. Later I watched Why Am I Doing This? (a Film about Touring) that Eric from The Bismarck. It was enjoyable. A lot of what you'd expect of indie touring stories. Steve Albini as well as Tim and Andy (Silkworm, The Bottomless Pit) were in it. Oh, and I was in it (kind of and barely!). So there's a little section called "The Bismarck Survive Memphis" with their story about that time they played here (mostly about how that dude Jacques worked with that we had fill in on drums for that one show since he blew off traveling the mini-tour part of it (or "jaunt" as many in the movie would have called it) at the last minute...about how he tried to give The Bismarck a gun when they said they were staying near the airport...I'm VERY glad that they were thoughtful enough to mention in the movie that he wasn't our regular drummer and just filling in for the show!...also that and how one of the other guys in the band tried some unaged, cartrunk "moonshine" and got very sick). Anyway, there's some footage of the band playing so you see me for a couple of seconds (it's video only, not the audio). It's also a little sped up and I can tell we're playing "A Series of False Starts" because it's the little part where my playing is the busiest so with the sped-up-ness it looks like I'm shredding or some shit. Anyway, fun to see. And it seems to be getting traction online, tens of thousands of people have seen it.
