Set Up

Was harder at work on getting my set ready last night. Have most things set up. Spent a good while jamming on part of it to get ready. Still have a long way to go setting up all the music. I did record stuff onto a tape and we'll see how that goes. There was an impromptu conference call with Nate and Jacques yesterday. I mostly just wanted to see if people were able to access the video chat and Nate started the call. But it was nice to see some friends' faces in this weird-ass fucking time. I got the last piece of equipment I'd need (or will get at least) in the mail today. I ordered it last week and unsurprisingly there was a delay in it being shipped out. It initially said it'd be here tomorrow, which is just in the nick of time, but it's nicer that it was here today. It's just an aux-to-usb cable. I tested it out this morning and it's working. I've even got sound going from my laptop to my stereo so I'll be able to monitor everything that way which is nice. Right now though the cable from my mixer to the laptop is kinda in the way hanging in the air across the area I'm playing and moving around in. Maybe I'll be able to do something about that? I've tried to find something to extend it, but at the least I can probably move my mixer onto the floor. Not great, but whatever. Oh, yesterday I took my last little drive for a while. The city's on lockdown now starting today (well, last night). I had been keeping up my routing of driving before work. Even though I'm not going in, I was driving around a little bit before coming back home because I like that routine. But not anymore. Anyway. My aa key on this computer is having issues and typing it twice most of the time (as seen in the example!). That's annoying!
