upon noticing that they were playing ATP in England, i did some url guesswork to see if i could find any more information on their current doings...my first guess proved rewarding: www.missionofburma.com ...and it turns out that Mission of Burma are playing two other shows in their reunion...New York 01/12/2002 and Boston 01/18/2002...and now i'm determined to find some way of getting to NYC, as this is definately a once in a lifetime opportunity...and anyone else willing to assist/accompany is more than welcome...i MUST make it...if not NYC, at least Boston...

well...i don't live anywhere near New York...hopefully i'll have money...though somehow there's bound to be a means...(well, i tend to save money up to a certain point...where i'm at now, on the verge of buying a new amp...so i should have money...but money or not, i'm gonna do my damndest to make it there...i'm obsessive that way...)

actually, in most cases i give up/forget about/let sit too long stuff that i would otherwise be obsessed about...except when it comes to music...and there i make up for everything else...like seeing SY 5 times last summer...mmm...shows...

what kind of amp? ha. me too, tho.

i'm pretty psyched about this show. i better get tickets soon. if you need a place to stay (i'm like an hour south of new york.. would most likely be taking the train) lemme know.

oh wow...that would most certainly be of upmost swellness...i'm not sure of any details...(of course, i found out about the show less than 2 hrs ago...) and i dunno how many friends i'll be coming w/...prob'ly 1 or 2...i guess i'll be finding out soon...so as to hurry up and get tickets as well...

as for the kind of amp...i'm not sure...i'm kind've mentally leaning towards Orange right now...i think tomorrow i'm gonna go somewhere and try one (and its price) out...then i'll know where that road leads me at least...all i know now is that my teeny practice Marshall that's decided it doesn't wanna stop feeding back will no longer cut it...feedback aside, it's just too small anyway...but it's lasted me a good while, the noble beast that it is...

yeah you and a couple friends wont be a problem.. just as long as couches would be cool. lemme know when you have tickets, and how you got em. i always slack on that, but not this time.

an orange huh? they're pretty cool.. but really expensive, at least the one's i've seen. i'm leaning toward getting a bigger version of this peavey classic amp i use. it's a 30 watt 1x12, and i want the 50 watt 4x10. it's a great amp. i'm just debating whether to sell my marshall or not. whenever i listen to like, black flag or minor threat or bad brains or even something like incesticide, i really yearn to have that trashy, distorted marshall sound on hand.

that would be cool...i'll let you know what's up when i do (know what's up)...i'm gonna purchase 'em from the link off www.missionofburma.com, i think it's through ticketmaster...

and yes, i did some research the other night and found that Orange amps are a LOT more expensive than i had hoped...i don't think that's gonna be my choice of attack...now i'm not quite sure what i want exactly...

yup...only those three dates (NY, Boston, ATP-UK) i plan on getting my ass out of Memphis myself...at least for the weekend of the New York show...
