Last night Mary Beth and I went to see a movie. Now that it's May, Indie Memphis is doing its annual partnering with Memphis in May to show one movie from the honored country each week. This year, the honored country is Canada (and I must say I'm REALLY looking forward to this year's ultimate choice...as we're gonna get some fuckin' Cronenberg). This week's movie was a pretty recent one that won a bunch of awards: Monsieur Lazhar. It was pretty good. It does give me anxious feelings watching someone take up a classroom though, hah. There was a qa afterwards with some professor and it was a pretty good discussion. I forgot to mention previously that at the May Day event at the park they were giving away Fight for 15 shirts so I snagged one. Oh, also yesterday we had the IT cookout. So we all gathered outside in some lovely weather and had free food, no less than Gus's! Yeah that was pretty sweet. There was also the most epic game of giant jenga ever played between Jean and David. That stack was gettin' picked damn clean and getting just higher and higher. Such skill, such patience! It was some intense shit, I tells ya. Felt like it should've been some international championship match we had going on. Anyway, that's about it for now.
