Jackson, TN
Aug. 11th, 2000 07:58 amwell, i went to "traffic school" in Jackson, TN yesterday...(1 hr from Memphis) it was basically just some cop talking for 2 hrs...not bad...at the end we watched a really cheesy video about drinking and driving...i think Michael Sexx was the start...it was all cheesy and 80s...GOD I LOVE THIS SONG!!! (see current song below, please...) "there is no love in this word anymore "i believe in perpetual motion and i believe in perfect devotion" can't concentrate on writing crap...must...pay attention to...song...i'll shut up about that now...but at the beginning while waiting for the thing to start or whatever, i met a guy wearing a Sonic Youth shirt...(as i was wearing one too) we were both like "nice shirt"...i talked to him a while...it was cool 'cuz i was not expecting to meet someone cool amidst the sea of southern accents that, living in the bustling metropolis of Memphis, TN, i had forgotten really existed so heavily...i had brought 2001: A Space Odyssey w/ me to read and he was all like "good book"...so we talked about SY, that book, Kubrick, and other bands we listend to...it was neat...(i've now put on some Belle & Sebastian...ahhh...) i can't think of anything else goin' on for me...i'm just really stoked (thought it was time to use a word i never use, even if for good reason...) about the 3 days in a row of SY next week...ooohhh...signing off...
