just checked the mail...another overdraft notice...this one saying my account is $108.91 in the negative...but this definately would've been sent before i deposited the check (yesterday) so it's like only $52 in the negative now...woo...my Adecco paycheck didn't come today...but i get my Camy's paycheck...though i think that's only gonna be like $10-20...as $30 goes to the deposit for shirts...and i was out of town most of last week and didn't work very much at all...oh well...

ended up hangin' out w/ Brad and Keith last night...i hadn't seen Brad since the Low show a few months ago...we going to the Young Avenue Deli when we saw Paul crossing the street heading back home...so we took him along for our wylde ryde...after that we headed back to Brad's pad...oh yea...when i first got their earlier, i played on Brad's drums...at the Deli we had been talking about old bands and stuff and many pieces of the puzzle of life came together for many...Keith brought out an old Speedwack video and we gotta see footage of young sp00ky Jacques...playing bass, wearing his Bauhaus shirt, w/ his Robert Smith hair and bad Robert Smith makeup: white facepaint w/ crooked black lipstick...then Keith pulled out another video where another band of his had played...this was at the New Daisy...same show as Bomb 21's first gig (my first band) he didn't get our set (though Shawn, wherever he is out there, has it...) he had always been wondering who the guy walking around w/ a jester hat in the video was...oh, hey, it was me...and Paul had remembered for long some band that sang the line "smokin' pot like Cheech and Chong"...that was Keith's band...then the next line was something having to do w/ paper and tape and a homemade bong or something...we were all laughing pretty histerically at that...and at one point Brad and i were talking about drumsticks and what kind we like...i was saying the kind i like to get are the really really thin jazz ones and then i named the guy whose signature series i really like and then it fucking clicked...i started getting these sticks long before i knew who he was and i don't think i've bought a pair since...but Elvin Jones...drummer that was a mainstay in Coltrane's band towards the end...i think his second to last drummer...but a really amazing drummer...he's on Sun Ship and i always listen to that album w/ my jaw dropped...and then i realize that his signature series of drumsticks are my personal favorites...i dunno...i thought it was pretty neat...

saturday, before i work, i'm gonna be recording their (Brad and Keith and Shade) band (Bored to Tears)...hauling my mixing board over and some mics and stuff...recorder/producer cred rules, yo...

oh yea...and Brad's brother's dog (Toto) was over...that dog rules...the most hyper fucking thing i've ever seen...his name will tell you what kind of dog it is, in case you didn't already figure that out...and one point i was playing (he REALLY likes to nibble) and was sticking my fist in his mouth and he was chewing on it...i was petting Jibbles and Jibbles got all pissed off that the other dog was biting me so he started growling...and it was the funniest noise ever...i can't really describe it...maybe i could if i tried...but i won't...

I know where Shawn is. He was actually staying at our house two weeks ago. He lives in Knoxville. Let me know if you want to get in touch with him. I hope we're talking about the same Shawn :) Of course, I only know one that spells it like that.

yes!!!
