had my interview with Manassas this morning...it went okay, by my standards i guess, although i know i blew it...i blew the final, open ended "leave me with an impression of yourself"...i'm sure that's not the only thing that was far from spectacular about my performance, but my failure to really say anything was a nice clencher...the interview was long as shit too (previously, the longest was 45 minutes, this was an hour and a half...though, i must say, it actually didn't feel as long as that other one...the woman interviewing me was pretty pleasant, not that the other interviewers were unpleasant, just the experience of answering their questions was a bit unpleasant on my end...) and my interview was at 9 and i had to be at work at 11:30 and i was wearing my suit and all that so i had to go home and change in between as well so towards the end i was getting a little panicked on the issue of time, but i made it...shaved it pretty close but made it...oh, and i should mention how by now i've grown quite accustomed to a certain coded terminology that can occur after a job interview is over: the prhase "good luck"...i was introduced to it pretty immediately in this whole uh ordeal/extravaganza...also, i got notice about another school today...kind've a weird healthcare votech high school...i called the principal and left a message and i guess we'll see...anyway, i finished reading Cryptonomicon by Neal Stephenson...it was okay, pretty entertaining, generally covers an interesting subject matter, writing while generally adequate was far from amazing and at times a little patchy...came home to a little bit of mail: Whitehouse: Total Sex...it was a short week and i guess it's nice that it's my weekend now...um, that's all, i smell something good cooking in the other room...
