won Tetsuo: the Iron Man dvd on ebay today...fuckin' sweet, that...tonight i went over to Keith's...we went to Black Lodge...my main objective was to rent this movie called Guts of a Beauty, but they didn't have it...i found one of my back-ups: Cemetery Man...we watched that...it's fucking great...i recommend it to all...i ended up ordering Guts of a Beauty online...i had wanted to see it first, but as they didn't have it i thought it was worth the risk...here's a summary of the plot: it's japanese and the yakuza kidnaps this girl and they rape her and do these experiments on her...then she mutates into a giant penis-monster and gets revenge on all of them...Brad and Adam came home too...(wait, Brad was already home but he was locked in his room for the duration of Cemetery Man) Adam brought over his former roommate Jason (aka Gayson)...after he left Adam told me that Jason told him that i'm "really hottt" (i'm assuming the extra t's were implied...) sweet...maybe i should just become as gay as i act...then i could be gettin' some... we stayed up most of the rest of the night watching the Game Show network...EXCITING!!! well, tomorrow should be exciting anyway...a 1-2 punch of shows: Melvins followed be Neil Hamburger (which is elsewhere but billed as the "after-Melvins party" or something similar...) i know this sort of thing is common and happens multiple times a week in real cities...but for Memphis it's a rare treat to get ONE decent show the whole of a month!!!

ero-gro movies = good business
Date: 2003-05-30 06:16 am (UTC)i've been meaning to pick up guts of a beauty, since i got guts of a virgin about a year ago. i've just been lazy. if you care, there was a third movie in that series called rusted body, also directed by gaira. i guess i need to get that too.

Date: 2003-05-30 06:24 am (UTC)yea, Guts of a Virgin seemed pretty lame...well, actually you're the one who went on about how lame it is aside from one or two parts in the middle...well, i did see the beginning...and that was pretty lame...i wasn't sure how related the two were...but i decided it sounded cool enough to risk it...

Date: 2003-05-30 07:57 pm (UTC)have you heard great phone calls? it's become ingrained into my personal lexicon now... a must if you haven't heard it.
neil hamburger! neil hamburger! neil hamburger!
when he came to my town i got to write a fucked up article about him, filled with fake bio info culled from the great phone calls album (like he "can only speak out of one side of his mouth because of the boating accident..." get that album, man! you'll dig it!) and it got to run in the paper like a 'straight' article cuz my friend's the entertainment editor and when i met him he couldn't believe an article that fucked up got to run in a normal daily paper. a great day- to be praised by the likes of mr. hamburger.
anyway- "enjoy" his "show"!!!!
Re: nnnnneeeeeiiiilllll hamburger's in town!
i have not heard that album...i must get it! prior to tonight i had not heard him at all...though at the show i got the 50 States 50 Laughs cds...i'm listening to it now...pure comedy gold!!!
