took the exam for my stupid class today...super-easy, of course...after that i went home, ended up meeting Justin at India Palace but they were closed so we went to Golden India...closed too...Memphis Pizza Cafe is right next to it so we went there instead...BIG mistake...we hand't even left yet and i got that feeling in my stomach...so i went to the bathroom and it sucked...my stomach felt like it was in a meat grinder and it took forever for the feces to exit...and i'll also mention that it felt like my stomach was in a meat grinder...i was prob'ly in there 30 min...after that i had a little time to kill before the meeting at work so i went to Legba where i got:
The Fall: Room to Live
Greg was listening to Elvis Costello's Live at El Mocambo (or whatever the club's called...) i talked to him some about Elvis...he said if i gave him a cdr he'd burn me a copy of it...that's pretty cool...then i went to the meeting...afterwards i started to leave, but had to turn back around and go back in...to the bathroom...more spray action, though not so bad...i think there's a little left still, but it should be the end of the line...never eating MPC again...EVER...then i went to Shangri-La where i got:
Hovercraft: Akathisia
The Cure: "Friday I'm in Love" single
Alan Licht Loren MazzaCane Connors: Two Nights
Trans Am: The Surveillance
then i went over to Jacques' where we watched The Simpsons...Amber came home and Justin came over...we watched Jacques play Grand Theft Auto...then Justin and i left and went to K-Mart...now i'm back home...i think i'm gonna try to stay up and watch those movies i rented the other night...woo...

live at the El Whatever is pretty great, but i have a bootleg from the same era that i think is even better.. mostly the same set list of course played brilliantly by the attractions, but with a more open, less compressed sound. it might wind up on cd one of these days so i'll be sure to shoot you one if it comes to pass...

is grand theft auto merely a one-player thing? we're kinda hurting for a game system over here and GTA looks amazing...

and thank you SO much for the offer in my other post. it was kind of in the back of my mind as i was formulating, but i would never assume it's the case. but yeah, that's awesome. we'll see what happens.

that'd be sweet...i hope Rhino decides to reissue Live at El... along w/ all these other reiussues they're putting out...i know the reissue of Armed Forces has a whole live show...though it's later, from Armed Forces era (duh...)

and yea, GTA Vice City (all of them, actually) is one player...though you can always take turns driving around flipping cars over and stuff...it really is amazing...i've played this one considerably less than the last one, but it fucking rules...they both do...some of the best games ever...

and no problem about the offer...after you gave us a place to stay up there, i can't even begin to imagine what sort of asshole i'd be if i didn't return the favor...

the only cd of El came with this box set of the first three albums that's fairly rare. i wonder if some of it isn't already included on the bonus discs that come with BOTH the new 'model' and 'aim'- having not kept up to date on ryko's reissue agenda lately.

i don't have My Aim Is True, but i have that reissue of This Years Model and while it has some really cool bonus stuff, none of it's from that show...
