i ended up crawling in bed and passing out for a little while last night...getting a nice refreshing nap...ideal for an all-nighter of school-work...the only thing is i didn't do any school work...just wasted several hours until daylight hit and i finally went to sleep again...i did make it to my first class...but i slept in for my second...watched The Simpsons and found that both my ARP Sequencer and my volume pedal had arrived...something sweet to counterbalance my overall feeling of scholastic ineptitude...since i have yet to start my project, i decided to skip class...i went to the practice space, getting some sushi along the way...i learned a valuable lesson about sushi tonight...it's not a very "man, i'm hungry!" food...and even if you get a bunch of sushi and you're really hungry, chances are you won't feel like eating very much...and even w/ that, a very short time afterwards your o-ring will self-destruct, blasting you halfway around the world into Brown Town...as you may have guessed, all of this happened to me so while i was at the space playing w/ my new stuff i called up Jacques, as his place is nearby, and went over there, blowing my o to hell and back...then i sat around w/ Jacques and Amber watching tv about Al Roker and stomach surgery...i'll bet his days of o-blowin' are long past...then i went back to the space when they went to bed and played around some more...the volume pedal's kind've cheap (as in it's made w/ cheap plastic), but it gets the job done...and it WAS really cheap...and it looks cool...so really it's all pluses...i was using it in combination w/ the fuzz pedal to get some nice cello-like rock-action...it took me a while to figure out how to get the sequencer working...i finally figured it out...the cv interface is pretty weird stuff...though i know there's more that i could do...the guy didn't send the manual as he was supposed to...but i emailed him and he responded saying it was an accident and he'd send it right out...so when that arrives i'll have a better grasp on utilizing the machine to its full potential...i may be a pathetically inept loser, but at least i have cool rock gear...
