ateolfi got the tickets for Wire for Jacques and myself last night...i decided i couldn't miss it...and i didn't want to go alone...and it'd be a crime for Jacques to miss it too so i'm covering for the time being...all will be rockin' in rocktown...and i JUST talked to Jack and he's going w/ his wife as well and it seems our crewz might be travelling together...rocktastic...
last night i picked up Justin and we went over to Reedmeister's for hot karaoke action...Paul and Shawna showed up a little while after that...(Danny was there too after a bit...) it's run by the "model" and the woman who's prob'ly her mom that went to Neil's a few times a few weeks ago and brought their own discs...as it's a small place, it was a pretty small crowd so i got to sing a bunch of times...they actually have a relatively decent selection (as in, there's a few good songs...) first i did "Alison (the Elvis Costello song) pretty badly...then "Just like Heaven" in my best bad Robert Smith...then a song that i was very surprised they had "The Piano Has Been Drinking" (Tom Waits)...that was fucking rad...then i did "Hells Bells" in what may have been my best performance of the evening...one nifty thing: the computer screen w/ the lyrics, while the solo was happening, had this great badly-computer-drawn picture of a devil w/ a pitchfork and there was a circle w/ fire in it in the background...it stomped my ballz flat into the ground...then i took Justin home, on the way i thought of two cool new phrases: "o-bone steak" and "the lube tube"...also, later i decided i'm going to become a gay porn star and my name (and corresponding character/costume/etc) will be Sodomy Hussein...anyway, next i did "Macho Man" and ended the evening w/ "Ziggy Stardust"...afterwards i went over to Adam's and hung out briefly before going home...¡fin!
