I went to the big library book sale yesterday. I didn't find as much as I usually do at those things. I picked up a few: The Cannibal Galaxy by Cynthia Ozick, The Taming of the Shrew by William Shakespeare, and The Ponder Heart by Eudora Welty. Then I went across the hall to the Second Editions store where I again didn't find as much as I usually do (all probably for the best anyway!), but I got: Look at the Harlequins! by Vladimir Nabokov and The Farewell Symphony by Edmund White. I got a cd in the mail: Sci Fi Industries: Initial States. Then at night Mary Beth went to a play and I stayed home and finished up at least the initial changes needed for the Memphis Concrète website. Then I worked out getting my setup for The Terminator score with my table and synths and stands. I was able to get everything I wanted on the small table so I have a slightly minimal slightly not-at-all-minimal setup (definitely far less than I had last time!). I only have one of my new stands working, but I can at least get an idea by setting up the synth I'll be using the most on it and I know where the space is and it's ready for the other synth when they finally get back about replacing the missing part. Anyway, actual music isn't worked out yet, but at least I'm getting comfortable with a setup. Hopefully I can start working it out better soon. Speaking of which, having a early metal orchestra rehearsal pretty soon!
