My parents celebrated their fiftieth anniversary last night with a dinner at Erling Jensen so it was a very nice dinner. Jason and Anthony were also there. I don't think they were very into it, but the food was really good. I had some fried quail for an appetizer (with benton bacon and other tasty fancy stuff) and then had scallops for my main course and they were super super tasty and there was this bit of fried artichoke on the side that was otherworldly. And had raspberry souffle for dessert. Oh, and my dad was drinking something and I asked what it was right as he was getting another, and the server let me know it's some kind of peach basil mocktail (a shrub, Mary Beth told me later that it has vinegar and that tracks!) and asked if I wanted one too so I was like, yeah and it was good! Then later at night I practiced a little for my set (tonight!) and that went pretty well. I'm finally getting a little bit of structure into it and practicing the things I'd set up and I'm feeling better about it now. Okay, that's about it, now off to work!
