Half-Equipped

We did our Superlo grocery run in the evening. Then after that I swung by Jacques's place to pick up his mixer that I'm borrowing for my upcoming show. So then I was able to start practicing some, plugging things in and getting some preliminary sounds and all. Then I find out my SK-1 isn't working. Well, the positive battery terminal has come off and I couldn't get it to power on right. So I was sad but figured I could manage with something else. I have limited space on my table for this one so I thought a small cheap Casio or similar keyboard would be perfect. Anyway, other small cheap keyboards not working either and I'm getting pretty sad about it. I originally decided against a power adapter instead of batteries for the SK-1 because it says it needs a 7.5V power source which is weird as hell and I don't have any with that voltage. But I finally just said fuck it and went back to it and tried a 9V adapter which worked fine (I'll try to limit my usage with it and maybe get a proper adapter later, but uh, close enough for now?). Anyway, so I'm practicing with that stuff and spend a lot of time dicking around with the sounds. I have the Boss half-rack delays in this one and those are just so much fun and I can get sucked in screwing around with them and completely lose all track of time. So I stayed up a little playing with that stuff! Oh, I forgot to mention in my last post how the office chair I use on this computer is kinda fucked up and tilting weirdly. I pushed the seat all the way down and that seems to mostly combat the weird tilting but on the other hand, I'm way too low to the ground. Pretty annoying in any case.
