Did the show at Haven Haus last night. It was pretty good. At first it didn't seem like anyone was going to show up except Jacques, but more people trickled in and there was a somewhat decent size of a crowd for a Wednesday night house show. There were some technical issues with the pa as we were getting things set up. For one, it's not able to do stereo which didn't affect me as I was mono anyway, but Strooly was hoping to get some stereo so trying to see if he could figure out how to get it to work with the setup, but it wasn't possible. Then one of the speakers wasn't getting any sound. So I was going through my own little mixer as an intermediary and I'd brought my keyboard amp as a just-in-case contingency and at first wasn't going to use it at all, but then I thought we could stereo out from the mixer and send one channel to the pa for the side that works and the other channel to my keyboard amp. And then that worked. I already mentioned that the touring artist Ceremonial Abyss had to cancel a few days ago so was a little bummed not to get to hear their set 'cuz they were good and the reason I felt it was worth putting myself on the bill! Anyway, I played first and did my thing, probably no one liked it but that's okay! Then some more people started to show up, including one guy wearing that Muslimgauze tiger shirt that I have. Fosterfalls was good and had a nice set. Binky the cat showed up at the very end of it to come and watch! Last it was Strooly and his set was really good. He said it was only his second time doing a hardware ambient set (he often djs though). It was one of the very best new-to-me-live sets I'd seen in a while, I think! It ended pretty early and I went ahead and put the recording of my set up on bandcamp before bed last night so here's that:
