I had planned on going to see a screening of Stop Making Sense last night, but then Jill messaged me that they're playing a show and were finally going to do the Beckett "Not I" performance so I switched up and went over to Black Lodge for that! The first to play was Suroor. Next it was Etta Havoc, a jazz fusion band that Minivan Marcus is in (I'd found them to be a bit on the busy side from what little I'd heard online before, but I enjoyed it much more seeing them live). Next it was W1ND0W. Vinnie joined on keyboard while Jill played guitar for the first part of the set which was a performance by Suroor of Samuel Beckett's "Not I"! That was the highlight of the night. Then after that it was a regular W1ND0W set. Last it was General Labor and they had Graham Burks joining them doing live modular video projections and that was cool. I keep feeling like during the day my neck is healing and feeling so much better. But then sleeping at night continues to wreck me. Last night didn't feel as bad as the night before when I'd tried the neck brace, but still, waking up my neck feels run over. Hopefully it just continues to be a little better each day.
