Meshes of the Evening

I got a couple cds in the mail yesterday: Rune Lindblad: Death of the Moon and Rune Lindblad: Objekt 2. Got things set up for the show next week with securing the third act (window) and getting the flyer made. There'd been a facebook page but it was clearly not being maintained (and Steve, when I asked about it, was all, the person who maintains it is in facebook jail until tomorrow...so yeah, tight ship and all that). There was an event image but it was just a photo of the group with some boilerplate venue stuff slapped on top of it and the image wasn't even sized to the proper dimensions so the text with the artist was half-off the top so I figured a "proper" flyer would be good for it, even though it was something I tried to throw together as quickly as possible, it did end up being something I had to fuss around with a bit. At night I went out to see Optic Sink do a live score to Maya Deren films and it was, of course great. I saw a good number of people there: that Ben guy that I had just met slightly before the pandemic started (talked to him a bit before the show), Javi (who I talked to a bit afterwards), Amy and her Ben (also talked to Ben after). I picked up a shirt they'd made specially for the show, but they didn't have any XL (but L and XXL). I went with the L as it looked like a big L and the XXL looked like it'd be way too billowy, but now that I'm actually wearing it I'm thinking I probably should have gotten the XXL after all. Normally I might have skipped not getting a shirt in my size now, but given it was for the specific show last night with Optic Sink and Maya Deren I felt like I HAD to get it. I mean, it's wearable, probably just won't want to wear it so much in public like all my other scores of L shirts!
