I was a little annoyed going into yesterday as I have this dashboard that I'd been working on some at work and I built up and they want me to make a change to move the backend from node.js to c# and okay, there's not much on the backend but then I got a link to a mock-up repo with all of the front end in angular and now I'm thinking they want me to completely scrap the whole thing, but then starting work yesterday I found out that's not the case and it was just a mock-up and not indicative of where it should be going (just a poc for setting up the backend and he'd set up the frontend using just what he knows). Anyway, I guess it all ultimately doesn't matter but I almost got a bit annoyed by what I thought would have been the waste of it all. Okay, I blathered on about that way more than I should have! I got some new walking shoes in the mail yesterday. They're similar to my old walking shoes. Though I may still just have a splinter in my damn foot, hard to tell. It had been a while and the new shoes feel comfier and springier no matter what. I pieced together that song for the benefit comp and I think it suffices without having to add anything extra so hoorah! I think it's all ready to send in now except I don't have a title for it. Still need to think about that...hm! And last night I went out to meet some friends at Flip Side, the new pinball bar. It was fun to see people I haven't seen much of, though I suck at pinball. But I saw Jacques, Heather, Jack, Neely, their kids, Courtney, and Celeste. Some talking. Some pinball playing. I ate some nachos. When I first arrived it wasn't too busy but got busier as the night came on. The first one I played was called Hot Doggin' and I did pretty well on it (it's an old...ski-themed game), for me anyway, and was a bit surprised! I played a few rounds on the AC/DC one and did okay. There's a hells bell you can hit and it makes the hells bell sound, I hit it a couple times. I also shot my ball out of a cannon once. There were a few I did horribly on and just kept dying immediately. Fun! Oh yeah, and as we were leaving at the same time, Jacques and I ran into Zachary who happened to be out for a walk and then he took our picture and caught me mid-blink. Important!
