Had another look at the code that failed in production and thought I found the cause. Okay. Then Lynn wanted to try it again today so we did it again during lunchtime and it failed again. Hah. Found some more stuff but it's not really adding up. We'll just have to wait til star test comes back up and we can actually run the code and debug it. Exciting. Something a little more exciting is that I did finally get the Memphis Forward site working! I'd found out about this place called Digital Ocean that has really cheap hosting that Josh told me about. So I got my own cloudy machine with its own ip for $5 a month (which would kinda be fun to have anyway) and I set up my node.js app to have a restful endpoint and after getting past a couple other speedbumps, I was able to make everything work! So yeah, we'll just have a separate server for backend stuff. Leaving the main site on Daniel's hosting is fine because that has a mail server and from what I've read I don't want to run a main server. There exciting stuff. The test environment's working. Hopefully it'll all work when Daniel points the real page to the code!
