trivia

so my team hosted trivia last night and i think it went pretty well...i was a little nervous my round would be hated...a literature round "Identity each novel by its opening passage" so i'm passing out these sheets of paper with paragraphs on 'em...while i'm passing 'em out hear some grumbling such as "are these essay questions?" "i feel like i'm in class"...while it wasn't generally a high scoring round (which was expected) most people did pretty well...once they figured out what it was they weren't too bad with it (i hope)...most scored between 6 and 9 out of 12...one team got 11 (and the one they'd missed, they had and changed their minds...they were the only ones that got Gravity's Rainbow, which was my "probably only one team will get this one" one and i was right...the hard one...) i had a little fear people wouldn't get it and hate me, but like i said the results went as i'd hoped...it was a nice contrast sandwhiched between the wrestling round and the tv show theme song audio round...it was also really the round that determined who won...the team that won for the night was the one that got 11 points on it...the team that was in second place (and had previously been kicking the most ass) kind of bombed it...i'll probably be a nerd and post my questions here later...we were a little late in time (i mean when we ended), mostly 'cuz of my round, but not too terribly bad...not as bad as it's been before...overall it went smoothly...often people hate it when guest teams host...but i think the general reaction was positive...one team was complimenting us and they didn't even win or nothin'...oh yeah, and it was crowded as fuck! 21 teams started (one left after i passed my round out...heh...they were second to last anyway...) it was pretty exciting for a nerd like me...Phoebe was stuck at work and couldn't make it, but we had the round she made (memphis trivia) and us dudes managed...anyway...i can't think of anything else to say...but it was much fun...even though a little nervous...about my round and having to speak into a microphone sometimes! anyway...
